June 10th was the reunion blog’s busiest day ever, so people are still reading what we write here. I invite more of you to sign up as contributors if you have not done so yet. Deder and Audre have joined us now, so a warm welcome to both of them!

Based on your comments to me when we were on campus, (as well as some of you who wrote me email messages but could not come to campus) I think there are some more of you who are going to weigh in soon. I look forward to your voices and more photos, including my own. I am still learning digital photography and I haven’t made an album of the shots I took while I was at Wells. Barb’s work will be an inspiration when time allows.

I just wish we had an audio file of our singing session in the Leach living room on Saturday night. I’d post it here in a minute. Nancy’s guitar playing was beautiful. It really took me back to being about nineteen years old. Thanks again Nancy.

Just touching down

Carroll – - I made it through the labyrinth of getting myself recognized by the blog-gods!!! Just back from the end of my journey, which started at Reunion two weeks ago.

So glad I could make it, even if only for the last day. Great re-connections and some relatively new connections!. Merry Pillon, I loved our dining room delve, didn’t realize we had some very important things in common! Carroll, our seed duet is germinating, I know it….. Willy, it was so great to have time. Kippy, we had a double header, which I treasured. I would say that we are aging gracefully and with style and a twinkle in our eyes.

It’s nice to have another place to spill over onto, and I shall be doing so – - once I’ve

gotten unpacked, out from under mail ugh and re-grounded here on the left – - and very DDDDRRRRYYYY at this point – - coast.

PS I didn’t have a big charge about co-ed-ness, being ultimately a pragmatist; however I found that it felt GOOD to have themale energy there. It was anything but dominant. Which is as it should be, eh?

South American Greetings

Hi Guys,

I couldn’t come to our 40^th, it was just too geographically inconvenient to hop over for it. Dimitri and I are in the midst of our South American Explorations (at that time we were in Brazil, actually). As you may know, Dimitri and I met on a blind date in 1989 in Los Angeles. We moved to DC (for work) in 1990 and to Jakarta, Indonesia in 1993 (also for work). In 1995 we started to travel and we liked it so much we retired and have been traveling 365/24/7 ever since (having sold our houses and all our stuff).

Our traveling lifestyle doesn’t allow use to carry paper photos so Dimitri has created a photo website for all of our snaps. In 1993, the two of us went to our 25^th Wells Reunion and if you click here you can see all of our photos from that (really fun) event.

We are, of course, sorry that we missed the Reunion. We’ll hope to catch up with you sometime, somewhere in the world. By the way, we’re thinking that we’re going to spend the November ’08 to April ’09 ski season in Colorado skiing at Vail or somewhere else nearby where we we can find an apartment to rent. Does anyone have any ideas for us? (And, let us know if you have plans to be there too.)

Our Use Statistics are up to 1167 Today

Many of you are still looking at the blog, and this is great! But no one is writing. While those memories are fresh I know you have a lot to say. So use the comment function if nothing else. That does not take any advance registration.

I know many of you are organizing the photos you took at our reunion. One of our classmates found out today that she cannot upload her photos to the blog. I am looking into authorization for blog contributors at the moment and will have more to say when I know more.

For now, let me say I have heard from Audre Engleman and she wants to post. So stay tuned!

Just Some Quick Thoughts

Hello All! I trust you are home safely and adjusting to whatever is normal for you. I find myself exhausted, but energized and hopeful because of our time this weekend at our 40th reunion. It was wonderful to be on campus with you and to see you again. 44 years is so long ago, but 1964 is when we met and started our studies together. How is that possible? And how did the weekend go so quickly?

I know many of you have pictures of lovely moments during our days together. I hope some of you will share a few here. And I hope those who could not come will have a look too; so many of our classmates were missed and remembered fondly. I am proud of our turnout and our contribution to Wells. Many collaborated to make the weekend successful and Rhea and I could not have done it without Wendy, Joanie and Kathy, Pam and  Jen, the Development Office staff, Janice Gavan, and our classmates.

We encourage those of you who came to campus to candidly evaluate the reunion using the form provided in your packet and send it to the Alumnae Affairs office. They will use your views for future planning.
